We’re excited to share this video with Hostwriter Ambassador Mercy Abang, an award-winning Nigerian journalist who focuses her work on underreported or never reported stories mainly ignored by mainstream media. Mercy talks about the importance of Hostwriter as a community.
Abang’s passion focusing on these communities earned her the 2017 Woman of the Year Award in Journalism and a Dag Hammarskjöld (United Nations) Journalism Fellowship. She is also an accredited member of the New York Foreign Press and the Nigerian Union of Journalists.
