We’re offering €6000 as a prize for collaborative journalism projects!
Hostwriter is now accepting applications for its 2023 Hostwriter Prize, which grants €6000 in awards for collaborative journalism projects between members.
The deadline to apply for the prize is 31st August 2023.
The Hostwriter Prize consists of two categories. The Story Prize presents awards for collaborative projects that have already been published and three stories will receive €1000 each. The Pitch Prize awards €1500 each to two collaborative projects that have not yet been realized and intend to be published soon.
Recent winners of the Story Prize include six teams that won the award for their collaborative storytelling and projects. More details on all of our 2022 winners can be found here.
About The Hostwriter Prize
The Hostwriter Prize was established in 2014 and is supported by an annual donation from the Otto Sprenger Stiftung, a foundation that honors the work of Otto Sprenger, a former unionist and employee of the NDR (a German public service broadcaster) who was committed to supporting young journalists, collaboration, and social engagement.
